Why the name has two halves
Plenty of companies are called “something Painting.” Ours is registered with the Commonwealth as EA Paint & Light Carpentry, Inc., and the second half is not decoration.
Work on enough houses in Worcester County and you learn that the paint is rarely the problem. Water is. It gets into a butt joint, sits behind a sill, wicks up the bottom of a corner board — and three winters of freeze and thaw later, the wood is gone and the paint is just holding hands with itself. You can coat that, and it will look great until roughly the second spring.
So we set the company up to fix it instead. The crew that scrapes your house is the crew that cuts and installs the replacement trim, primes it, and paints it. One estimate, one schedule, one company responsible if something is wrong.
That is the whole reason the company has two trades in its name.

Who you are actually hiring
Edio Aguiar is the owner, and he is on the job — not in an office and not routing you to a call center in another state. When you get the estimate, you are talking to the person who will be standing on the ladder. When you have a question on day three, it is the same person.
That is the practical difference between a local company and a franchise territory. It is also why we keep our service radius to about twenty-five minutes around Northborough: a crew that is close by comes back for a punch list item. A crew that is ninety minutes away finds a reason not to.
You will be talking to the person who does the work.
What “fully insured” means here
It means we send you the certificate before we start, without you having to ask twice. EA Paint & Light Carpentry, Inc. carries general liability and workers' compensation coverage, and has been registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since February 2022.
You can verify that yourself in about ninety seconds on the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth's corporate database. We would encourage you to do the same for anybody else bidding your job — in this trade it is the cheapest due diligence there is.
Ask us for the certificate of insurance before you sign anything.

How we price
Free on-site visit. We measure, look at the wood, count the coats, and hand you an itemized written estimate with a fixed number. Not a range, not a “we'll see when we get there,” and not a low bid that finds three change orders once the ladders are up.
If something genuinely unexpected turns up behind a board, you get a photo, a price and a decision before any work happens. That is the whole policy.
Where we work
Based in Northborough, we cover Northborough, Westborough, Shrewsbury, Marlborough, Southborough, Hudson, Grafton, Boylston, Berlin, Worcester and the surrounding Central Massachusetts and MetroWest towns.
