Soft wash, not blast wash
High pressure on clapboard drives water behind the siding, chews up cedar and strips the grain out of a deck. We use low pressure with the right cleaning solution and let the chemistry do the work — the mildew dies instead of just being knocked loose, so it stays gone longer.
Decks need three steps, not one
Strip the failed finish, neutralize and brighten the wood back to an even tone, then sand where the grain has raised. Stain applied over a deck that was only rinsed will peel by August. Done in order, you get an even color that wears instead of flaking.

Plants, windows and outlets covered
Shrubs and perennials are pre-wet and rinsed after. Windows, doors, outlets and light fixtures are covered. Runoff is directed away from planting beds instead of into them.
