Towns We Paint In
We work a tight radius around Northborough on purpose. Short drives mean we show up on time, we come back for the punch list, and we are still around in five years when you want the trim done again.

Ten towns, and what actually fails on the houses there
Each page covers what we really see on houses in that town — because a lakeside exterior in Shrewsbury and an antique farmhouse in Berlin do not fail the same way.

Northborough, MA
Northborough is our home town — the shop, the trucks and the owner all live here.
Westborough, MA
Westborough runs from antique colonials near the common to large newer colonials off Lyman and Fisher Street.
Shrewsbury, MA
Shrewsbury homes along Lake Quinsigamond and up through the Route 140 corridor take hard weather off the water.
Inside the radius? The visit costs you nothing.
Marlborough, MA
Marlborough mixes tight-lot Victorians and multi-families downtown with large colonials out toward the Hudson and Northborough lines.
Southborough, MA
Southborough has some of the most exacting exteriors in the region — restored antiques, large estate colonials and a lot of stained cedar and painted shutters where the finish quality shows from the street.
Hudson, MA
Hudson is dense older housing stock — capes, colonials and three-deckers with painted clapboard and a lot of accumulated layers.
Grafton, MA
Grafton and North Grafton run from antique homes around the common to newer subdivisions near the commuter rail.
Boylston, MA
Boylston and West Boylston sit around the Wachusett Reservoir, which means wind exposure and moisture load most Central Mass towns do not have.
Berlin, MA
Berlin is small, rural and full of well-kept antique farmhouses and barns.
Worcester, MA
Worcester means Victorians, three-deckers and a lot of painted wood on tall elevations.
Every other town we cover is listed below — 180 of them, grouped by county, with the distance from Northborough next to each. Not on the list? Call (508) 466-5846; we schedule by route, not by a line on a map.
Every town
180 Massachusetts towns and cities within 40 miles
Each page is written from that town's own housing — the median year its homes were built, how much of the stock predates the 1978 lead rule, and what that means for the prep. The distance is from Northborough, and it is printed because it matters: the 23 towns inside twelve miles get us most weeks, and the ones at the edge get us for whole-house work rather than an afternoon.

Housing figures on every town page come from the US Census Bureau's American Community Survey, 2018–2022 five-year estimates, and the 2023 Gazetteer. Distances are straight-line from Northborough. Not on the list? Call (508) 466-5846 — we schedule by route, not by a line on a map.

Where we work
The area we cover.
We work out of Northborough, MA and travel across Worcester, Middlesex and Norfolk counties. If your town is near the edge of the map, call and ask — the honest answer about travel is quicker than a form.
Get a free, written estimate
Edio Aguiar comes out, looks at the actual surfaces, and puts a fixed itemized price in writing. No obligation, no sales pitch, no phone quote guessed from a photo.
Questions
Straight answers before you call.
How much does it cost to paint a house in Northborough, MA?
It depends on the size of the house, the condition of the existing surfaces and how much wood repair is needed — those three things move the number far more than the paint does. A typical Central Mass interior room, an exterior clapboard colonial and a kitchen refinish are three very different jobs. We give a free on-site estimate with an itemized, fixed written price so you can compare apples to apples.
Are you licensed and insured?
EA Paint & Light Carpentry, Inc. is a Massachusetts corporation, registered February 2022, and carries liability and workers' compensation insurance. We send the certificate of insurance before the job starts, and you are welcome to look the company up on the state register yourself. Massachusetts does not license painting as a trade; where a job needs a registered Home Improvement Contractor or a licensed Construction Supervisor, we will tell you that up front.
Do you repair rotted wood, or only paint?
We do both, and that is the point of the name. Rotted sills, fascia, soffits, corner boards, clapboard, porch decking and interior trim are replaced by the same crew, priced on the same estimate. You do not need to line up a separate carpenter.
Question not here? Ask it on the phone.
How far do you travel from Northborough?
We work a roughly 25-minute radius: Northborough, Westborough, Shrewsbury, Marlborough, Southborough, Hudson and the rest of Central Mass and MetroWest. If you are just outside it, call anyway — we schedule by route, not by a map line.
Do you give free estimates?
Yes, free and with no obligation. We come to the house, look at the actual surfaces, and send a written itemized estimate. Most estimates go out within two business days of the visit.
Still have a question? Ask it on the phone — you will get a straight answer.
